Previous Chapter  Chapter 3  Next Chapter
(DDV) (KJV)

  Now the serpent* was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Jesus had made. And he said unto the woman, "Yea, hath Jesus said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?"
  And the woman said unto the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die".
  And the serpent said unto the woman, "Ye shall not surely die:
  For Jesus doth know that in the day ye eat of that tree, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods like He is, knowing what is good and evil."
  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food* , and that it looked delicious, and a tree that would make you smarter, she picked a fruit off the tree, and did eat it* , and gave also unto her husband Adam that was there with her; and he did eat* .
  And the eyes of them both were opened and they knew what was good and evil, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons to cover up their private areas, knowing it was evil to be naked outdoors.
  And they heard the voice of Jesus their God walking in the garden in the evening: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jesus their God amongst the trees of the garden.
  And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, "Where art thou?"*
  And Adam said, "I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself".
  And Jesus said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, that i commanded you not to eat?"*
  And Adam blamed Eve saying, "The woman you gave to be with me, she gave me the fruit of the tree, and I did eat it".
  And the Jesus said unto the woman, "What is this that you have done?" And the woman blamed the serpent by saying, "The serpent tricked me, and then I did eat the fruit".
  And Jesus said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go,* and dust with your food shalt thou eat all the days of your life:
  And I will put hostility between snakes and Eve, and between offspring of snakes and the offspring of Eve; humankind shall step on you, and thou shalt strike and bite their lower legs."
  Unto the woman Jesus said, "I will greatly multiply your pain and discomfort in pregnancy*; and in great pain birthing children*; and your wants and needs shall be towards your husband*, and your husband shall rule over you."*
  And unto Adam Jesus said, "Because thou hast listened to and obeyed the voice of thy wife and not to Me, and have eaten of the tree, which I commanded you not to, saying, 'Thou shalt not eat of it': cursed* is the ground for thy sake; in discomfort and pain shalt thou eat of it growing crops to produce food all the days of thy life that you are able to work;
  Thorns, thistles, and weeds shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field that you grow;
  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou are unable to work and are buried; Your Flesh was created out of the ground: your Flesh is made from dust of the Earth, and your Flesh shall return to the Earth."
  And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living humans to be born.
  Unto Adam also and to his wife Jesus made them clothes from animal skins and furs, and clothed them.
  And Jesus said, "Behold, the man is become as one of us* , to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and become immortal again:
  Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
  So Jesus kicked out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Angels called Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way out of a UFO, to protect the tree of life.
