Correct Way to Interpret

There are over 120 different denominations in the Christian religion today, and new denominations are springing up continually. A denomination is born when misinterpretation of Scriptures causes a separation from what is currently believed.  For example, 5 people can read a particular verse, and instead of coming to one conclusion for that verse they divide into 5 separate beliefs, each its own denomination based on its own interpretation.

Even though the world today condones many different denominations, Scriptures clearly teach that we are not to have different denominations.  i think it is extremely important to reveal in Scriptures why we should not have different denominations, nor condone them.  It is a proof of wide spread misinterpretation, thus a wide spread of false doctrines being taught, doctrines of the Nicolaitans.  There is only one Truth, not many Truths, but ONE TRUTH, According to Scriptures we as Christians are to have one mind, not many different minds.

  • Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
  • II Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
  • Romans 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
  St Peter says:
  • I Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
It seems to me that it is pretty important to God that we all have one mind, since He mentions it in 6 verses, 5 that you just read and one yet to come.  You see when we do not have one mind, we divide.
  • I Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, (He is asking earnestly and urgently) that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
So we see that the Word of God instructs us to be of one mind, to be likeminded, to be of one accord, to speak the same things, and that there be no divisions among us.

Satan’s main goal is to prevent us from doing this, to divide us, and misinterpretation is how he accomplishes his main goal.  Because he knows if we are divided, we can’t have the power that God so desires to give us, because we are not living in one mind according to Scriptures, but we are divided into different denominations.
  • I Corinthians 11:18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
  • I Corinthians 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
Scriptures clearly teach us, specifically I Cor 1:10 that there be no divisions among us.  When we have over 120 different denominations is there not a great deal of divisions among us? The answer is yes.  We as A Christian body is severally divided among ourselves all due to the lack of having one mind, and all because of misinterpretations.

So how do we correctly interpret the Word of God? Well first off it is essential to understand who the Word of God was written to.
  • John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
  • John 13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
  • Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
  • Galations 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
  • Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
  • Hebrews 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (Also these verses as well, I Peter 1:14, I John 2:18, 2:28, 3:7, 4:4, 5:21, II John 4 , and III John 4 )
  • Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Tell me, what kind of Father would not leave accurate, simple instructions to the children that He dearly loves, if He can’t personally communicate with them for a period of time?

Our Father in Heaven left us Accurate instructions, which He saw to it would be simple for His children to understand and grasp. Leave it to satan to convince the children to interpret instructions which need no interpretation, instead of the children merely believing the simplicity of Scriptures they go about to confound them by their own interpretations.

This generation is like unto a child, who’s father has left for a season, and the father left accurate, simple to understand instructions for his children to live by and abide in, one of the rules clearly states “Look both ways before you cross a road” Now the children who agree with what that rule clearly states, and don’t mind obeying that particular rule, need not interpret that rule, they believe what it says.  Now the children who do not agree with that rule will interpret that rule to mean something other then what it says, for example they will look up the word road in the dictionary and determine that a Highway is not a mere road, therefore they are excluded to look both ways when they cross a Highway, because a Highway is not a basic road, these children shall surely be weeping and gnashing their teeth and many of them will die.

In these last days, the same thing is true.  God left us simple, easy to follow instructions how we can live a righteous life and get back to Heaven with Him. MOST of the Scriptures have no need of interpretation, but what it clearly says is what it clearly means, however, many do not believe what Scriptures clearly teach, they come to a verse that they do not believe, this is when they will go about to interpret that verse into something that they will believe, they will take each word to the original Hebrew or Greek (as if God interpreted it wrong in the Authorized King James Version) to validate the change that they interpreted it too, which altogether changes the verse from what it clearly says, into something else that they have interpreted it to mean.

You will find many false doctrines that are being taught today, doing exactly that, they will take Scriptures which need no interpretation at all, and interpret that verse to mean something other then what it says.

Another cause of misinterpretation of Scriptures occurs when a person will believe one verse and what it clearly says while ignoring all other verses that seem to contradict the verse they believe. The following statement that God told me, is true.

IF WHAT YOU BELIEVE, CONTRADICTS EVEN ONE VERSE IN SCRIPTURES, THEN WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS WRONG.

If a person believes one verse yet ignores or makes void all other verses that seem to contradict the belief of the first verse, they do not know the Truth, only when all verses agree with each other and none are ignored or made void, is when a person can come to the knowledge of the Truth.

For example, there are some people who believe Judas Iscariot hung himself because it is written:
  • Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
Yet other people say he did not hang himself but he died because he fell headlong and cut his stomach area and all his guts fell out because it is written:
  • Acts 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
Now those who believe he merely hanged himself, make void or ignore the verse that says he fell and all his guts burst out. And those who believe that all his guts burst out due to a fall and not hanging, ignore or make void the verse that says he hanged himself. Both groups are wrong.

IF WHAT YOU BELIEVE, CONTRADICTS EVEN ONE VERSE IN SCRIPTURES, THEN WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS WRONG.

Those who believe that he just hung himself and that is it, well there is a verse (Acts 1:18) that contradicts that belief, therefore that belief can’t be correct. Those who believe that he fell headlong and all his guts came out and he did not hang himself, well there is a verse (Matt 27:5) that contradicts that belief, therefore that belief can’t be correct.

The Truth is when your belief does not contradict even one verse in Scriptures. So in the above example, what if both verses are True? That Judas Iscariot went and hanged himself (Matt 27:5) And maybe he did hang himself but he did not succeed at it and the branch broke and he fell and cut his stomach area during the fall and all his guts fell out because of it (Acts 1:18).   Now believing this, there is not one verse that contradicts that belief, but all verses concerning that topic agrees with that belief. Which is better? To believe one verse, yet ignore other verses which contradict it, or to believe all the verses and none contradicts that belief? That brings to mind another thing that this generation likes to believe is TRUE, while other verses plainly teach it is NOT TRUE, and that is Once Saved Always Saved. The mere fact that when a person gets Saved, their name is written in the Book of Life, but there are verses that plainly teach a persons name can be blotted out of the Book of Life. If a persons name, once written in the Book of Life, can be blotted out, then Once Saved Always Saved, can't possibly be True. There are verses that contradict that belief.

False doctrines is any belief that contradicts even one verse in Scriptures, and there are many false doctrines among Christians of the Last Days Generation, which i call the Doctrine of the Nicolaitans.  We are in the last days partly because we have turned from the Truth of what Scriptures plainly teach unto the doctrines of men.  This generation hearkens to the teaching of men and not to the teachings of God. Hence the reason we are in the last days.

Our Father did not leave hard to understand instructions, We, with our interpretations, make them hard to understand. He revealed it to me in this way.

When i was a kid, maybe 11 or 12 after reading the entire Bible 3 times, i sat on my bed in my room crying and praying to God “Why God did you make this book (Bible) so hard for me to understand, i have read it 3 times front to back, and this says you can, this says you can’t, it is confusing, it contradicts itself, you are my Father, i am your child, why did you make it so hard for me to understand? (Still crying) OK Lord, i will read it again, i will keep on reading it until i understand it, help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen.

Upon reading the Bible the fourth time, i came across a verse that i did not agree with, that is to say, i did not believe what it clearly said, so i went about to interpret that verse to mean something other then what it said, then a voice from God said unto my spirit “ Who are you to interpret the Word of God?” then i replied, “But i don’t know what the verse means” Then the Lord said unto my spirit “What does the verse say?” i read to Him the verse, then He replied “That is what it means”  It was at this point that it was like the finger of God had touched my mind and the Scriptures were opened up to me, and the understanding thereof, even as a lightning bolt that strikes the Earth.

As long as i was adding my own interpretations to the verses that i did not agree with, the Bible was indeed confusing and hard to understand, but when i started believing it and what it clearly said, without my input, then it became clear and simple to understand, that even children could understand it.  We are children of God. He did not make His Word difficult to understand as if we must become learned in order to understand it. He made His instructions so easy to understand that children could grasp the Truth of it while those who think they are wise and learned will never come to the Truth unless they put aside all their learning and merely in Faith believe all that the Word says without their interpretations added.

Is it not true, that Scriptures interprets Scriptures?
  • II Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
  • Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
This means, people should not interpret the Scriptures by what he or she privately thinks or believes it to mean, their own interpretations. God is the interpreter of His own Word, man should interpret nothing, The Word is sufficient enough to interpret itself.
  • Genesis 40:8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
  • Genesis 41:16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
So we see plainly, that God interprets interpretations, NOT man. God told Joseph what the dream meant. Joseph did not interpret them himself, by his own thinking, nor from his own intellect.

Many false doctrines are taught during this generation, because man with their own intelligence and much learning (scholars) interpret the Word of God by what they think it means.  They do greatly error. Scriptures interprets Scriptures is when the Truth is taught. Man interprets Scriptures is when false doctrines of the Nicolaitans are taught.

Scriptures teach us how to correctly interpret Scriptures, and Saint John himself gives us that KEY, consider:
  • John 21:21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? 22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. 23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: (Notice what most all the disciples did, they interpreted that saying of Jesus to mean something that they believed, that they thought was the interpretation, what they thought it to mean.)  yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
The disciples were dead wrong in what they believed, because they did not merely just believe what Jesus said, they had to go and “add” their own meanings to what was plainly said. They ADDED their own interpretation to the Words of Jesus.

This generation is no different except, in Truth, Worse than they before time. The Truth is what Scriptures say and teach. False doctrines come about, when people do not believe certain verses which are plainly written, and they “ADD” their own interpretations to those verses to mean something other then what it plainly says, and worse yet, they teach others their interpretation, which is what brought all the hundreds of denominations that we have today.

90% of the Bible need not be interpreted, what it says is what it means, unless the immediate text clearly indicates otherwise, ie “This is a parable” If it is at all possible with you, forget everything that any person has taught you concerning the Word, forget all that you think you know as well, and reread the Scriptures and what they say, that believe and see if the Holy Ghost does not reveal more Truth to you then you have ever learned from men or from your own studies.

If you are going to believe a few inspired by God verses and ignore or make void other inspired by God verses, then this article is not for you.  In the following chapters, you will see this being done among the last days Generation. And yourself also, right now you believe that what you know is not false doctrines, yet the odds are that even you will be offended in this book/website and will be tested to either continue to believe the false doctrines that you hold to, or to believe the Word of God and what they say and teach.

Many have been raised their entire lives believing in these false doctrines, and it will not be easy for them to come to the knowledge of the Truth. (Once a person believes in the Doctrine of the Nicolaitans it is extremely hard for them to believe otherwise)  But those who truly desire to go to Heaven, and are willing to give up their life to serve Christ, and are willing to change their thinking to conform to what the Word of God says and teaches, these same will inherit everlasting life with Him in His Kingdom to reign with Him, but only if we are willing to give up all that we have in this life, even the false doctrines that we have held onto and believed all of our lives.

Also, if anything i teach in this book/website contradicts the Word of God, then do not believe a word of this book/website, But if what is written in this Book/Website does not contradict Scriptures, then it would behoove you to hearken to it, and search the Scriptures to see if those things which are written herein are True or not.

May the Holy Ghost touch your mind with the Truth while you read this book or read the articles on the Website. Amen.

In His Holy and Precious Name, Jesus Christ
